- 1 tsp red chilli powder

- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 cup fresh malai (milk cream)
- 1 tsp kasoori methi
Instructions to make to make Matar Makhana Curry
- Dry roast tal makana & keep aside.
- Heat butter, add dry red chilli, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cardamom,cloves, black pepper, cashew nuts & roast them for a minute.
- Then add chopped ginger, chilli, onion, tomatoes & cook for 5mins.
- Let it cool & then grind to paste (purée).
- Heat oil in a pan. add cumin seeds,& all the spices. cook it for a minute on low flame.
- Then immediately add paste (purée) to it. cook it for 2 mins. Add 1/4 cup water & peas to it.
- Cover & cook till peas becomes soft, add cream & mix well.
- Then add makhana to it & mix well.
- Add kasoori methi & switch off the flame.
- Transfer to a serving bowl & garnish with roasted makhana & fried cashew nuts.
