  1. Take all the ingredients mentioned for marination in a mixing bowl. Mix well. Cut paneer in big pieces and add to the curd mixture. Coat paneer well and keep aside. Dry roast makhana on a low flame for a minute or two. Remove in a plate and keep aside.
  2. Heat up the ghee and oil in a kadhai on medium flame. Add jeera, bay leaf and cinnamon stick. Saute for a minute and add finely chopped onions. Saute till onions turns translucent.
  3. Then add finely chopped garlic, ginger and cook for 2 to 3 mins. Now add tomato puree. Mix well and add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and dhania jeera powder. Mix everything well and cook till oil seperates.
  4. Add water, mix and cook for 2 mins. Add marinated paneer and malai. Mix very well and cook for 2 to 3 min. Further add roasted makhana, mix and cook for a minute. Add garam masala, kasuri methi and chopped fresh green coriander leaves. Mix well and cook for a minute. Switch off the flame.
  5. Garnish with fresh green coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, tandoori roti or naan and rice.
