  7. 2 tbsp pepper+ jeera crushed
  8. 1/ 2 tsp , turmeric powder
  9. 1 tsp salt
  10. 4 Tbsp Dessicated coconut mustard seeds,
  11. 1 tsp jeera for tempering

  1. Roast rice and moong dal in a tsp of ghee separately cool and wash it.
  2. Chop vegetables and wash it. Grate ginger, slit green chillies grate coconut
  3. Heat 5 tbsp of ghee in a pressure cooker, add mustard seeds, jeera when it crackles add slit green chillies, grated ginger, curry leaves, add crushed pepper and jeera, saute and add chopped vegetables, mix well
  4. Add roasted rice and moong dal mix well, add 5 cups of water, grated coconut add salt to taste, close the lid pressure cook upto 3 whistles.
  5. When pressure cooker cools down remove lid mix well and serve hot with a dollop of ghee, curds papad.
